This past Monday on a gorgeous day in Dallas I was able to get in a longish ride around the city.

I am always amazed at the size, scope and attention to detail of these cowboy & longhorn cattle drive sculptures near the Dallas Convention Center.

My 60cm bike gives you an idea of the size.

My distance vision has been deteriorating for the last ten years or so. I finally got my first pair of glasses this week. The world is such an intricately detailed and beautiful place!
I went out in the yard and took these few photographs to celebrate.

Mine's been doing the same for the past few years. Still haven't gotten around to getting glasses, and street signs are getting more complicated every day. Sigh.

Yes sir, that's Mt. Olympus in the background. I climbed the summit 2 weeks ago and it was covered in snow, amazing stuff. It was a lot of fun.

The problem with showing your bike off at your work is I did not even see your bike in the picture. That chamber is wild.

My work backdrops help boost my average coolness bikes to higher levels of coolness.

ah that's a cute photo. we'd have totally passed by each other, i am sure.
i saw a couple puppies in a bag or backpack.

i was there for like 5 hours in the rain. had enrolled for 5k run (ran last yr too) and was going to run.
damn rain made all schedule effed up—5k runs were supposed to be 7p before crit finals, then it went to the end.
was completely soaked and frozen with running fit on, warming up running became kinda meaningless...
gave up, left just after men's crit.
could have done it anyway, but also had my lady and supporters waiting and they were completely wet soaked too.

the crit finals were fun, tho. worried and feared serious accidents, but they managed it quite well.
bummer the accident in the women's, still way better than the last year one especially considering such heavy rain and wind.
