For me, today is a half-day before a holiday, so I treated myself to a new, cheap (~65 USD) dynamo-hubbed wheel for my old IGH-equipped Finnish city bike.
    Dynamo hub wheel 02.jpg

I still haven't set up the light itself yet, and it won't see a whole lot of action until the fall (18 hours of bright skies this time of year!), but I'm still excited about it! I guess I'll see how it compares to the Sanyo on the touring bike I brought from the USA.

My father in law got his hands on this Novara Trofino recently and asked me to get it ride-able, as well as switch out the handlebars, it had an old set of Tri bars on it. I was visiting from out of town so I couldn't go through all the bearings without my tools, but he can see if he likes it now at least. And as a thank you he let me have the trainer in the pic, was a pretty fun bike to ride.

I sold the Pug and the custom rack to a friend (who says I can borrow it anytime)... it was / is an awesome rig.

The double rail lets you hang the bags and top load the rack without interference.

lol yeah I'd like a basket on front, hopefully something real cheap or free. The bike only cost me $15 at a yard sale and I'd like to keep it as a

cheapo beater beer run/ take the dog around the block type bike

Almost done with that rear rack... will be ready for paint as soon as I make a few small adjustments, touch it with the torch here and there and prep it.

The front (lowrider) rack will be much easier... it will only need 12 brazed joints while I think the rack has 32 and there are still a few eyelets that still have to go in for the inegrated light mounts.

You've probably answered this elsewhere, but are you building these out of tubing or solid stock?

I live on a half mile long dead end residential street. This summer, I hope I can take my daughter for a ride up and down it every nice day that I get the chance. Some times we like to be color coordinated.

Since it's gardening season, here we are at my dad's putting in his garden. He's 91, so he's sitting in the chair taking a break.

Yep. Nice looking raised beds, Colonel. And ribs too. I finally built some raised beds this year.

Thinktubes: right in the middle of the back yard. I love it. Looks great.

Thanks, guys. The beds need to be clean and tidy as they'll be visible by guests. This is at my new job (opening a restaurant). The local garden club has put our little beds on their annual garden tour which probably has as much to do with the historic house as he beds. They're just for herbs and nasturtiums mainly, but one bed has chilis and a few tomato plants with beans around the trellises.

    Good on your dad, thinktubes!
