This is a photo from last weekends' ride in Pendleton, Oregon. If you pass through Pendleton and never get off the interstate you'd think this part of Oregon was pretty dull. Miles of dryland wheat farms in all directions with little to grab your attention until you get to the Blue Mountains. Get off the freeway though and hop on a bike and strike out on those quiet farm roads that radiate from town and land takes on a completely different perspective.

Who was it on the previous page said there were some great photos here? +100! You all have been busy!

Here's a shot from today, two circuits of Acadia's PLR:

Nice pictures jim and Sharon! I went to North Adams today and rode up Mt. Greylock with my son. He beat me by 45 minutes, but I made it. Hope to get up to Acadia before summer is over.

How long is the climb up Greylock, in miles and ascent? And is the descent fun?

Wonderful symmetry! The top tube between the two fork blades gives a sort of floating-in-space feeling to the fork. What frame is that? And what fork crown?

The many and varied uses of a Schwinn LeTour:
(note: this tube was removed from a frame with a very bent fork and bent tubes near the head that a thrift shop was selling as a complete bike, so I bought it for parts and chopped the frame. The rear triangle is being used as a shop seat.)
{ I'm currently replacing the rear springs/struts on my wife's car. Bicycles are much easier to work on.**

The two seasons we have are rainy and hot at the same time(really high humidity); and mild by our standards/hot by yours, and dry. Six months of each. The rainy season is also the hurricane season.
Very soon that bottom land where I was standing will be full of water and mosquitos.
