20 easy miles with the WRCC tonight. (Wabash River Cycle Club) - Rode some of the new paved trail system in West Lafayette Indiana, out into the Wabash river valley, rode past Fort Ouiatenon, then back through the celery bog nature preserve.
We're losing daylight for the weeknight rides. Summer went by in the blink of an eye. -

Photo by the lake behind the WL Walmart on Cumberland Ave. - That's my 1995 Bob Jackson. All these bikes to play with and this Jackson is just so perfect, I ride it all the time. Was going to take the Mercian Vincitore out tonight, but the Jackson was calling my name..

Cleaned and lubed the chain and freewheel today. I was too lazy to finish it properly and got to enjoy some nice black spatter all over my clothes. Yikes. Hope it comes out.

Recent trip to Virginia Beach

Very breezy on arrival day--10-15 mpp. Blew harder and some rain day 2. Day 3 record rainfall and high winds. Didn't check but was difficult to even walk. My guess 35-45 sustained winds. Day 4 still very windy... no fun to ride...able to get into the water....red flags every where warning of dangerous undertow. Day 5 (getaway day) dawn was vivid. In person it looked like the sky was on fire. Very little swimming or riding on this trip!

Yessir. '83 I purchased from the original owner earlier this year and brought back from California when we moved. it's been meticulously maintained and I have every record on the car from new. Garage kept, original paint. I never thought a volvo would get so much attention but almost without exception someone comments on it when I have it out.

it's also my bike hauler

post yours if ya got em!

This is the '90 240. Its pretty clean, 166k on the clock. I bought really cheap because the owner thought the trans was shot. It was just the overdrive solenoid. I bypassed it and now its great. For some reason i don't have pics of the 245, I'll rectify that. If you haven't joined the Brickboard, consider it. Bunch of really nice people who've helped me more times than I can count. I'm trying really hard not to buy a 164 thats local to me. Yours is fantastic! I had an 83 245 a while back. It lives in Florida now. The buyer took the train up to NJ a drove it home. I love Volvos, It was Corvairs before that but they're impractical when you have a wife and a kid...

nice!
Yeah, i was looking for something that I could throw bikes on and not have to worry about, or take my kids on camping trips. Originally I wanted a wagon but then I found this, for $2500. I haven't done anything to it except replace the door speakers and buy a stereo (which I've yet to install).

but yeah, before kids it was Jeeps/motorcycles and various other vehicles not as conducive to family life.
