Simplex adjusters and Raleigh brake bridge
Is it true that a barrel adjuster from the old plastic Simplex downtube shifters will fit the rear brake bridge of an older Raleigh (Gran Sport, in my case)? I seem to recall from an older thread (which I haven't been able to find) that it will, but would like to confirm that before I go to the effort of tracking one down.

I have not tried Simplex downtube adjusters - given their size, I'd expect them to fit.
That said, Huret Alivits from the mid-1970's or earlier have the adjuster barrel you are seeking. Later Alivits were fitted with an oversized design that will not work.

Ya, my GS has an adjuster that looks remarkably like a Simplex adjuster. I seem to recall putting it there long ago because it fit.
