Yikes did that auction run its course? I would think it to be worth significantly more than that... I sold one in the same size last year for about 50% more and felt the guy got a great deal.

If I wasn't in sell-off mode I would have gone for it. Its my size.
Yeah it ran the full course...started at 400 and had 1 bidder who got it for that...the buy it now price was 550 and nobody bit on that.

I'm just hoping someone here got it (so I can see it cleaned up). Just didn't wanna post it while the auction was running and ruin someone's under-the-radar good deal.

I visit a woodworking tools forum where it's against the rules to reference any current auctions on eBay.

I just found a '76 VN with smoked chrome on an out of town CL, for the same amount shipped. I was lucky, the owner was more than willing to get it packed and ready for Fed Ex. I knew they were beautiful but I wasn't ready for how gorgeous it looked in person.

I've had enough of mine outed here that I don't do it until they end. Although I got my '39 Dawes when someone posted the auction here.

Yep, owwm. Awasome website for those into restoring neat old machines. But as you said no outing eBay or craigslist deals.

Looks like someone got a good deal, not a great deal but it could have gone much higher

So much of the appeal of these is in the finish. I expect the rust pitting kept some would-be bidders away. I hope it cleans up well for the new owner.

I got hooked on flipping when I bought one of these at a thrift store for $14.95. If I only knew then what I know now.....I sold it off since it was a bit small for me but would have fit my son perfectly now that's he mostly grown up.
