Anyone know a lot about IRD/Tange-Seiki cartridge-bearing BBs?

(crossposted to Mechanics)

I've had 3 of them, the first (IRD) had "cups" that slid off both sides, and the 2nd (IRD) and 3rd (Tange-Seiki) each have a fixed cup that doesn't seem removable. That's OK if you're needing a BB for an English-threaded frame, but IRD now sells cups for Italian, French and Swiss threading; so I want to get that cup off. Anybody know how to do that without doing violence to the cartridge bearing? I believe that The IRD and Tange-Seiki flavors are pretty identical, at least the adjustable-side cups from IRD fit perfectly on a Tange-Seiki.

if the threads are on the body itself, that's not a "removable" cup, you won't get it off. Thankfully the old style with the center barrel and 2 removable cups is making a come-back.
