I didn't really keep track of $$ since most components are off my old race bike (old as in...sold)

The bike has:
Dura ace Rear derailleur, hoods, brakes and cranks
Ultegra headset and BB
105 front derailleur
Formula Xero Wheelset
Speedplay frog pedals
RaceFace seatpost
Brooks professional saddle
Original 3TTT stem and bars

If I had to guess, I would say the components total to about $1500
What can I say, I just love the way this frame feels

Hi there. I am wondering if you were able to find out anything definitive about your Bianchi, or the construction of Bianchi's serial numbers from this period. I recently traded my MTB for a Bianchi (lacking all decals but the "Made in Italy" sticker). Yours is the only other I've seen so far that resembles mine; it has the same paint color as well. My serial number is formulated in the same way as yours, but starts with a 5. Any information is appreciated.

Basiccloud,
Did find anything more than what appears in the thread ... I like riding this frame and in the end, that is really the most important part of it all!

On the lugs of the fork there was the Bianchi emblem.
The back wheel drop outs did have adjustments. The groupset I had was the "C" Record with the Delta brakes.

But as far as I can remember all Bianchi (Italian made) where Celeste in colour and the Asia imports were other colours.
There were lots of Italian made Bianchis that were not celeste in color. The top end super corsa and superleggera were also available in black and lower end bikes in a variety of metalic colors (red, blue, silver) in addition to celeste (sky blue). My 1982 Superleggera is black.

i found a frame that i am pretty sure is the same bike. mine has the serial number 3m on one side and 1328 on the other. i have been looking around and i think it is a 1983 "nuovo racing" seems like the entry level racing bike. here is a link to the catalog page:

Your bicycle is a 1983 or 1984 model. Based on my research, I am quite confident that the 3 represents 1983. However, I do not have enough data to ascertain whether this represents a calendar or model year, which often are skewed by several months. Also, there is some question as to whether the M is a month indictor (i.e M=December, assuming I was skipped due the similarity to a 1) or it is the 13th fortnight. If the number represents the calendar year and the letter is a month indicator, then there is a possibility that you have a 1984 model built in late 1983.
