Gorgeous! The paint and the chromed lugs remind me of an early 70s Raleigh International. Just replace the stem and handlebars and put on some Weinmann brake levers with white hoods

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
I have spring fever... Betsy is still hanging in the bike locker and there is 3 feet of snow piled up in front of that.
Must dig as the main roads are pretty much dry and clear.

This is my 1987 Fuji Tahoe, and it may be used for some touring in the future. Got it the past September and I must say, I love it.
Still figuring out how to add large photos...just click on the thumbnail for now.

The '86 Nishiki Cascade that followed me home.
Last week an acquaintance came into the bike shop where I work part time wanting to sell his old MTB and look at new ones. He brought in his old bike to see if we wanted to buy it or take it on trade. What he had was the cleanest 27 year old MTB I ever dreamed of seeing.
I have always been a fan of 80s Suntour components, their bar end shifters being my idea of the perfect bicycle part. The Black Nishiki Cascade had a full Suntour XC group including the bar top version of my favorite ratcheting shifters. Also part of that group was the Cunningham designed roller cam rear brakes along with stylized Mafac-like front cantis and a 3 pulley rear derailleur. Except for mildly rusty cables and chrome surfaces, the bike looked amazingly clean. Everything looks original except for the addition of bar end grips, a rear rack and changed tires and chain. The bull style stem/handlebar combination looks cool. but I may have to change them to get the bars up high enough to ride comfortably. The 21" CTC frame is larger than I normally ride (19"), but the bars are more than 3" below saddle height with the saddle set correctly. With its short top tube, it might be a good candidate for a Nitto dirt drop stem and a dirt drop bar or something like a Mary.
Long story short, I offered him halfway between what my manager thought he could get for it and what he would give him for it. He agreed.

Needs a cleaning and a tuning and probably different bars and standard stem.

1988 Schwinn Tempo Italian Tri Colored. Full Shimano 105. Shes a lil dirty still, but she will shine up real bright.
