My friend and I took our Mouldens out for a ride today and stopped by their birthplace to snap a few pictures... my guess is that they were built at close to the same time as each other by virtue of the nearly identical tube sets. The mix of the Ritchey Logic (seat tube) and what was probably Prestige or 753OS / 853OS makes for a really light and stiff road bike and one very light XC bike... builders here were pretty early adopters of the 7xx and 8xx tube sets and Prestige OS is also very light.

Not nearly as nice as the other bikes posted recently, but here's a Trek 520 I just built up as a fixed gear commuter. It started out as a $75 CL find bibliobob pointed me at. At this point I think the only parts that came with the frame still in use are the headset and brakes. Bars, stem, brake levers, seatpost and seat came from my dear departed Trek 770 (that Bernard now has - can't recall his bf handle). The crank and chain are new. Wheels and pedals are from Ebay finds. I like the rather clean look of the mostly braze-on-free frame. No Drewing required. :-)

Still needs some fine-tuning. Apologies for the basement workshop backdrop, but there's no good place to take pictures at night...

Now I need to learn how to ride the darn thing.

This is my 1991 Specialized Sirrus. Found her at the swap meet for $100 and have been bringing her back to life.

This one was handed down from my dad and it was my grandfathers race bike back on the 60's. Don't know wha the frame is. I've heard from some people that it might be a French frame

This was my 1985 Peugeot PSN-10 a few years ago, tubulars and some beautiful Campy parts.

This is her today, gone are the 700c wheels and most of the Campy parts, but now I will rider her more. The wheels are Synergy's, tires are Lierre's pumped to 38/44 F/R. The ride is so smooth I will never ride 700c again.

It had been a garage queen over the last couple of years, but I took it out for a ride to see the late afternoon sunshine yesterday.

    It is a 1987 Raleigh Team Replica, 531C, Nottingham-built:

It's identical to a SBDU frame in all respects except for the serial number which is a "WD7" prefix.

Here's my Schwinn Traveler that I keep at work as an errand bike. When I got it the right side seat tube had a slight s-bend, but a bit of gentle persuasion straightened things out to the point where it is rideable. I threw some upright bars and an old pair of friction stem shifters on it. The plastic box is a waterproof mail carrier for post office runs, and the pedals were donated by a junk Diamondback BMX bike (my feet do not slip off those).

New (to me) '91 Colorado II with full 8-speed Record, Mavic ceramic wheels, and Cinelli cockpit. Rides great, and the paint GLOWS. It's ridiculous. Hard to portray in pictures.

    First post on bikeforums, yay.

I just picked this up on CL. Some kind of old Specialized - I'm guessing the model decals were taken off at some point. Anyone have any clue as to what model it is? I'm guessing an '87 Allez...but so many bikes look similar in that era.

Nice first post! Date sounds about right based on the graphics. Someone else will have to opine about the model.
