Bicycle Repair Man !!!
The Italian girl... 1973 Garlatti.
Went for a ride through the river valley today and she handled the gravel pretty nicely... she's is a really stiff bike and those tyres need to be run at around 70psi lest she kick you in the teeth...

For gas pipe she's a pretty nice ride and geared well for climbing in and out of the river valley.

My Canadian Peugeot UO9 Super Sport. Those parts may eventually end up on my F. Moser instead, but I like the ride of this frame, and I never rode with Campy before. This is the Campagnolo Veloce triple groupset. I like those wheels; they were built by my local bike co-op.

Thanks. The Carbolite 103 isn't great steel, but from what I've read, these were valued as nice-riding entry-level road bikes in their day. It might be a couple pounds heavier than Reynolds, but who's counting.

Just can't beat the look of a classic lugged frame, some really awesome bikes in those pics. I would be proud to ride any of them even if they aren't Moto's, LOL.

Many bicycles get purchased and despite the owners best intentions to ride and get fit, they end up gathering dust... it seems to take 20 years before the owners either pick up the bike again and start riding or decide to sell it.
When I bought my 1987 Kuwahara Cascade it had no visible use at all... paid 25.00 for what had been a $900.00 bike when it was new.
When I found my 1957 Peugeot it still had the original Sedis chain that had no measurable wear and the brake pads and rims looked like they had never met.. the lack of fading tells me it was stored inside for most of it's life...

I did replace the bars as someone had installed risers... was quite thankful they did not lose the Mafac open back levers as these are a little hard to find.
I really need to update the pictures of "Edith", besides the new headlight lens and shiny new spokes she has some nice Pasela tyres... the original tyres were Michelins with blkue stripes but you cannot buy those in anything but a racing width these days.
