A decent deal for the Turbo fans out there

I was going to say Turbo lovers but that just brings to mind music I'd rather not have stuck in my head.

Either way, $55 seemed decent to me.
I don't have a use for them but I know there are several people here who like the turbo.

I've actually seen them even cheaper than that in some bike stores.
Looks like the Turbo re-issue wasn't as big as a hit as Selle Italia would have expected them to be, thus the "giveaway" prices on many of them. Many were intially turned off by the faux leather they initially used on the re-issued Turbos, plus that they were being manufactured in the far east, instead of Italy, but this sale seems to be for real suede leather versions which at 55 bucks is quite a good deal! I'd get one for a spare if I wasn't so broke these days.

I have a faux leather Turbo on my CX bike and it's perfect, especially since I don't have to worry about ruining the leather with mud and rain. I just wish I'd gotten a black one instead of white....

I paid around $60 for a white reissue last year from Excel Sports. Sold the saddle a few months later and replaced it with an original white one. Just couldn't get comfortable with the reissue. The original is perfect.

I have no experience with the Turbo, but have a ladies Turbo hanging in the garage.

That said, I would like to see the Concors sell at this price....

I have an original Turbo saddle on my Centurion Turbo. It's OK, but nothing to get excited about. I far prefer the Regal saddles I've got on my Italian bikes.

I also didn't understand why they were so popular back in the 80's...........till I bought my white perforated one in 85 and rode it. It felt comfortsble to me right away and I could do lots of miles on it right away.
It fit very well to many people and was generally considered one of the most comfortable plastic based saddle you can buy at that time. A majority of pro racers agreed, judging from the prolifiration of the saddle in most races.
