can't find a definitive source on these bikes. just picked it up. not sure if it's a px10 or not. don't know if I got a deal or not. where is the best place to find period correct parts for it? any good information would be greatly appreciated.

How much did you spend? If less than 300, I'd say you got yourself a good deal!

My brother had a similar model, except it had sew-ups and drop shifters. Beautiful bike!!!

got it for $225. I'd like to find some of the original parts that have been replaced. Any suggestions?

Looks like a PX-10 to me, although I've never seen one outfitted with stem shifters before! Looks a lot like my '72.

Hi, it looks lke a px-10. Does the frame have a Reynolds 531 decal? Check the seatpost, does it say "Simplex"? The sadle should be a Brooks Professional. I have never seen a px-10 with stem shifters. Maybe the previous owner/s changed them. I have had three px-10s, and yours looks like definitly one with a few mods. Good score at 225. Thanks!

Try this site for more info. The components would probably be found at feebay, or from another member here.

That is definitely a PX-10. The next model down, the PR-10/PKN-10, had regular carbon steel forks and painted stays.

Get some nice Simplex downtube shift levers or some barcons, and you've got yourself a WINNER.

Looks like it's got the Inoxydable decal in the right spot for a PX-10. Cranks look right and the 531 on the fork is right. Can't see the saddle, FD, or brake levers... I'd call it the real thing. What size is the frame? And what stem shifters ARE those anyway? They look like decent quality levers, which is an odd thing to say.
