Super Mondia

So...the other day I go to the LBS to see what's new and I see this...a Super Mondia,60cm. Mostly complete Nuovo Record Group, Mavic G40's, Atax Handlebars, Rolls saddle,......Pictures as found. Got it cheap...too cheap.

I got it for $50.00. I going to rehab it, see how it rides. It's Reynolds 531 with very nice lug work. I'm on the look out for Brake pads for those Universal side pulls. On Saturday I'm picking up a 58cm Benotto for just a bit more. The Benotto is in really good, ride anywhere shape, same LBS.

Great score. I missed out on a Super Mondia this spring. It was my size, and $350. Even at that price, It was a pretty fair deal.

I will look forward to seeing how your bike looks after you clean it up.

And keep the trash tips out of the background!

Is it a metallic black? Should polish up to a nice patina.

The top tube has scratches on it where the original owner leaned it against everytime he stored it. I'll take a pictue of the whole bike today , the one I took came out bad. Just like your Masi the chrome has clear on it. It is metalic black with hand painted box lining on all the tubes.

Give the Mondia a ride. You will be impressed. I found one a few years ago and loved the bicycle, but, as usual, it was not a good fit. Too bad and I would buy another in a heart beat if the right one came along...

I'm good friends with the owner. He also has a 60cm Titanium Colnago with a 25th Aniversary Dura Ace Groupset with matching Dura Ace wheels, in PERFECT shape. I'm still trying to work a deal on that one.......

If he sells it to you for $50, I'm going to saw off Florida and push it into the Atlantic...

Any bike store that sells a Super Mondia for $50 is a bike store that won't be in business much longer....
