Shimano BL-1051 brake levers

I'm looking for a pair of replacement hoods for these shifters, but from the looks of it they seem pretty rare. If hoods aren't available, what would be a good replacement lever?

Hello Apaulo and welcome to the Bicycle Forums.

Buying, selling and trading bicycle items should be conducted through the proper Buying & Selling forum, rather than this one. Perhaps take a look and express your needs there.

I probably have a couple of sets of hoods, both in black and white, but I would have to look see what is there. Or, keep an eye on Ebay and be prepared to pay dearly. Hoods can cost quite a bit more than one might expect.

Also, I think I saw your hoods. They are white, as I recall. You can clean them up really well with soap and water, then you can do some repairs with white silicone seal, creating a useful hood that might not be perfect but will do until you get a chance to but replacements.

Once the silicone has dried, you can trim and sand to blend the repair into the original hood. It is not perfect, but it will do the job and for quite a while, if interested.

Hope that is a help.

Sorry i wasn't clear, but i was actually wondering where i could purchase i new pair, or what would someone recommend i replace them with.

The hoods are black, i'm not sure where you would have seen them as i have never posted on bikeforums.

Thanks for the info and speedy reply!
