Gran Compe brakes...Not on teh Velobase...

I just picked these up for the Italvega and couldn't find them on Velobase. Anybody seen these specific calipers before? Unfortunately, they ended up having too short a reach for the rear. So if anyone has any black vintage calipers they'd trade off, let me know. Not for these calipers, though. I'll use them for something.

hmmm those are very similar to my gran compe's but mine don't have that black finish or levers.. I think yours are much newer but other then that and the brake pads (I'm assuming on looks alone here yours are much newer) but otherwise it's the same design.. nice stuff.

Looks like a special run of black hued bits for a big bike maker somewhere (ah, Centurion, sounds about right). I've seen a few of the black powershifters in the past, but usually they were beat to heck and wasn't able to secure permission to post the photos. Feel free to post up the photos to show the option of the black hue compared to the normal version.

I picked up a set similar to these recently. Black, short reach......difference is that mine have reversed cable arm w/ a "G" on opposite arm. Mine came on 1992 Bridgestone RB-1. They appear to be original to the bike.

There aren't any serial/model numbers. Dia-Compe didn't do too much of that.
