Recommendations for 300mm-350mm 26.6 seat post?

I am looking for a silver 26.6 seat post for a 1984 Fuji America TS V. I need the seat post 300mm-350mm in order to allow the proper height. Any suggestions for a good seat post in this size. Hopefully one that isn't extremely expensive. The Origin 8 comes in 400mm length but I have never used a two bolt seat post, am not sure if it is a good idea to go that way, and would like to keep the weight down. I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions. I am not really sure what makes on seat post better than another.

If you think that saddle adjustment is a necessary part of seatpost function, then two-bolt types kick butt. SunTour made an XC one that came 26.6; I've seen them on eBay.

SR Laprade, it's sturdy and cheap, the 26.6x350mm comes in silver and black, 19.99 + $2.50 shipping, the 400mm version is 21.00:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is a Kalloy seatpost in the SR Laprade style. But maybe that's what you meant.

In any case, I completely agree that this is what the OP needs. I have two of them, bought to give extension for smallish frames that I own. This post does not have super fine adjustment for angle but the one bolt design with serrations is good enough.

Another very good seatpost that I have is the Kalloy Uno SP-248 that Velo-Orange sells, but they don't have the 26.6 mm size:

This post is a little more expensive ($25) and it is finished better. It is also a little shorter at 300 mm length.

I recommend both of these to anybody needing a new seatpost.

Pardon me, but if you have the Sugino SP-H seatpost that came with the bike, and it is too short for you, I may be able to help you get rid of it.

As for seatpost for you, Kalloy seatpost it is if you are looking for something new, and need it now. Otherwise, you can hunt for something older and nicer, it may come around one day, but chances are relatively low since most tall seatposts are manufactured for mountain bike folks, and 26.6mm is not common (at all?) for mountain bikes.

Another possible alternative is to use smaller seatpost with shims, if you are OK with them.

I have one old ugly-ish 26.6 seatpost, not sure about length, will measure when I get home, but I doubt it is in 300mm ballpark.

You forgot to mention zero set-back.
For me, zero set-back is a big no-no. Ciufalon may be fine with it.

I didn't mention it because Thomsons also come with 16mm setback.

I am afraid Thomson setback seatposts in 26.6mm are made from pure unobtanium. I will be glad to be proven wrong.

You are correct. Smallest size with setback is 26.8. My mistake.

Ciufalon, I just checked my parts at home. The seat-post I have is silver Kalloy 26.6mm, and it is 300mm long (from rails clamp to end of post). Alloy tube and body, steel clamp parts. Not pretty (never was), used, with usual zig-zags on the lower part that are not TOO deep. I have no interest in this seatpost, wanna trade your shortie for it?
