Gios Blue

Ok, I give up. I can't find any touch up paint in the states.

https://www.giostorino.it/accessori has it, but I see no way to order it. I emailed their site and am awaiting a reply. Anyone know where I can get some before then? Anyone know any color matches?

Thanks,

Aaron

I am pretty sure it is a custom color for Gios. according to thi site there does not seem to be US importer/distibutor. finding who imports them would be your first stop.

I have been trying to find a suitable colour as well for my super record. A google search led me to a forum post asking the same question.

A quote from the thread:

See if you can get some House of Kolor SG-110 Marine Blue. It's
manufactured by Valspar paint company. Spray over a red primer base and you
have Gios blue. Spray over a white base and you have Colnago blue. Clear
coat over everything. It's as simple as that.

Thanks, Joe Bell is a credible source, and my Super Record definitely used a red primer.

This.

I've used HOK Marine Blue for touching up my Gios and its an excellent match. I bought a 4 oz. bottle from Amazon.

I just recently got a custom color-match for my Motobecane GR in yellow from a local auto-paint supplier for $16.00. The minimum amount was probably enough to paint the whole bike. It use to be expensive to get a custom color match, but with the advent of lower cost digital matching equipment, it's very inexpensive now.

I've used the Marine Blue on my Colnago Mexico and it's really close. Looks like it's the a match for my Tesch as well.
