Italian Vedovati - as anyone familiar with these?

I am looking to add another Italian bike to the stable and so I might be buying one of these tomorrow. I am unfamiliar with this brand and so I am looking to the knowledgeable members of this great forum.

I just realized I typed "as" instead of "is" in the thread title.

I was looking at one on Ebay a week or so ago. It appeared to be well made with nice lug details. I couldn't find anything about them but didn't try very hard.

Yeah I couldn't find much online either. I'll check the components and frame quality when I go over to see it.

The picture is really really small but I can make out Gran Compe brake levers. I want to say the crank is a Campy variant but it looks oval (Bio-pace?). Derailleur is kinda longish looking like a Tri-color Shimano 600. Seat post seems Campy because it has that Campy curve to it (Athena, Chorus, etc.). Rear wheel has a yellow sticker than can either be dark-ano Mavics or Wolbers. If it has Shimano 600 and it was original, maybe a mid-upper model? Color looks off though and makes me think repaint for some reason. The fork also seems to have an inelegant bend but it may be the vertical wood fence distorting things.

These are just guesses. Let me know if I'm close.

Wow you can sure make out a lot from some small pictures.
I'm leaving in an hour so I'll get back to you on your guesses.

    Veloh:

You were pretty much on. Gran Compe levers, Bio-cranks, MA-40 wheels, and the derailleur was a 600 but older than tri-color.
The ride and quality of the frame was nice with some great lugs and details. But, rattle can repaint combined with non-original mixed components made me decide to pass.
I really liked the frame, wish it had it's original paint.

Pretty close. For $300 I'd expect a lost more Campy in this market. Shame such a quality frame ended up like that.
