Have a 1972 schwinn trying to get a brooks seat on it. Brought in the seat post to get a new seat clamp for the seat rails and they said it is too small. Surely, there is another option here for a seat post/clamp. They couldnt find any clamps or even a new post for the bike. But i know there has to be a way to do this.

What model? Some of the Schwinns of that era came with Brooks saddles, like the Super Sport.

Most bike shops don't know squat about vintage bikes.

You can flip the seat post over, stick the skinny end down, fat end up. That sometimes does it.
You can take the skinny clamp out of the old seat and mix and match parts with the new seat clamp. That'll do it too.
Or you can order a fat ended seat post off ebay or elsewhere.
Bike looks pretty nice so far.
