Goo Gone Tastes Great Less Filling!

Would like to give a shout out to Sauze for suggesting Goo Gone for the leather saddle. You saved my free Brooks B15 Saddle from an early funeral. I was given a free Schwinn Super Sport and sadly the previous owner had decided to abuse the seat by applying liberal amounts of every hacks dream "duct tape". About 20 minutes of reapplying and whiping down with Goo Gone and the mess was gone. Put a bit of kiwi lotion on it and whoala. Only problem is that I am going to smell like a citrus bomb flying down the road. Thanks Sauze!!!

Before Goo Gone

With a little Goo love and Kiwi Dazzle

Oh yea. Could not find that simichrome in the store that I have read about on here. But I did find a product called Brasso. Works wonders.

Brasso also works wonders removing tubular glue. Believe it!

Just a guess, but it looks like the bottom edges spread out to the sides a bit. Perhaps it was an ill-advised attempt to give the saddle a more narrow shape?

The duct tape may have been a crude attempt to try and waterproof the top of the saddle a little bit?

The duct tape may have been a crude/ ineffective way to make the saddle look "cheap" so as to not get stolen.

The duct tape probably kept the leather from drying out and cracking. Looks great!
