I deleted your link as that falls under our advertising policy. If it is your site, in other words you are the administrator you may link to it in your signature.

Hey 3 speed man. What do you plan to put in your forums that will be different from what is posted in these forums? I think these forums are a great resource and am not sure a competing forum will be very useful. Now if you're thinking that it will be a complementary forum, that is another story, but still there are lots of sub-forums here that cover lots of varied topics.
I'm really making these statements in a good spirited, constructive manner as a reality check for you.

Hey, if you call yourself 3 speed man, how come you got a 4 speed shifter in your sig?
Seriously, I'd like to see your site. How can I get a link without breaking rules?

Walter says that if he is the admin of the site, he can put it in his signature. I'd be interested in it myself and had a quick look before the link was taken down. If I recall, there hadn't yet been any posts at that point since it appears it was just brought online. Of course, the depth and breadth of the community would pay into how much time I'd be willing to spend on an alternate forum.

As good as BikeForums C&V is, it isn't everything and it is driven by the knowledge and opinions of the people who are here, with all our goods and bads. Other sites are similarly only as good as their contributors. If all the participants are the same, two sites might be of equal quality. But they aren't the same! I check out three other C&V sites, and while there is some overlap, there are members on each one that are not on any others. In some cases, better experts are elsewhere.
So I say, bring on the C&V alternatives, so we can learn from a larger knowledge pool.

I don't know, I frequent more than a few forums, even though I admin here.
It keeps me honest, and a bit more well rounded. There are a few other C&V specific
forums, I read them, post and get to be a general member.
Lets not disparage what could be a very good resource.
