Need photos of 1960 Schwinn Spitfire

I picked up a bike recently that was advertised as a Fair Lady but I suspected that it was repainted. Upon further investigation I have determined it is in fact a Spitfire (chain guard and front fender struts narrowed it down).

I have yet to chip off the paint to determine the original color, but if you have one of any of the original three colors (blue, white & powder blue, or white & rose), please post a reply with a pic. I would like to restore this to as close to the original color as possible.

Thanks,

Tim

How about a picture of what you have so we can help you identify the bike first. It might also help is you gave the serial number as you may have the date wrong. Schwinn had a tendency to reuse serial numbers in the 1950s early 60s. Roger

I have asked the MODS to delete this thread as I gained a bit more info and started a new thread (with a pic) on this one...
