Campagnolo Gran Sport Pedal 1956

I just want to get some expert advise as to if these are the real thing. They fit the photos and descriptions I have seen online. Basically they came off a vintage lightweight bike my partner bought recently.

Any thoughts? People have started bidding - so I guess they think they are the real thing.

Those are certainly early GS/Record pedals, but I can't tell from the pics. if they are the very first generation or not.

If the wrench flats near the threads do not have a 'lip' at the inner edge, they could be the earliest version. I presume they have o-rings where the spindle enters the body? If there isn't any rifling on the spindle surface at that area, they are early pedals. The wrench flats can then determine if they are the very first type or not.

People do it all the time. One poster (not you) comes to mind in particular, but I digress.

The whole ad wasn't necessary unless it was intended to help your sale. But giving the benefit of the doubt, I figure posting a pic of them would suffice.

Honestly this wasn't meant as an ad, I'm just very curious as to what I have - and obviously wanted to list them correctly. I'm not 100% sure I know what wrench flats are, guessing they are the bit you would grap by the wrench to unscrew and if this is correct they don't have a lip.
I'll take photos and put them on flickr.
