Any Info on Saxon Bikes?
I bought an old Saxon bike from a thrift store in Columbus, Ohio a few months ago and have been trying to fix it up. I've put new tubes, an new wheel and and new tire. I hope to cannabilize the gears and chain from an old mountain bike I have.
Anyway, I can't find anything on the bike. Nothing about Saxon bikes anywhere. Can anyone help me?

I've got one of the 'cheap nasty' 80's frames built up as a fixed-gear. It's one of the most rudimentary frames I've ever seen, with a really ugly stay-bridge and it's fairly heavy too. But it does the job nicely. It's surprising how often the crummy old plain-gauge beaters outlast the butted beauties. I suppose it takes longer to rust through a thicker frame wall?!
I left it unlocked on the local precinct last year to get a bacon sarny and a scumbag tried to ride off on it. It was one of the best times of my life, watching a ratty 5'7" scrote first get bucked off the top-tube (its a 25' frame!) then get his leg trapped between the pedal and the ground. It must have hurt like hell, because he ditched it straight away and limped off. Good times!
