It's funny, I was scanning back through this thread and found this post (from 11-17-12). I actually was the one that bought that bike and absolutely love it. I am also going to do a few upgrades, but want to keep it as close to original as possible. BL's are kind of a cult and I'm glad to be part of it.

I've become a purist with most of my bikes, wanting to keep them as factory original as possible. This is especially true in the case of the Black Lightning (saddle being the only change on ALL of the bikes I ride). I waited for years to find one, and it will probably be another few years till I find another.

As you should. They are becoming quite the commodity and hard to find unless you are of taller stature.
