Happy New Year

Hi

my first post I think !
what is the difference between vintage nuovo record and super record brake calipers?

Thanks

Drillium Dude 01-01-12 03:27 AM

Welcome aboard!

Super Record calipers use alloy brake pad holders while Nuovo Record uses steel. Otherwise, they're identical

Super Record levers are pierced (not actually drilled) and Nuovo Record are completely smooth. Otherwise, they're identical too.

Hope this helps!

Wow, what a stable!!!

Welcome to bicycle forums.

Do you currently have all of those beauties?

You are loaded with cool Colnagos, no doubt.

I have a few myself, but you seem to covered all of the bases.

You'll have to chat with Gary Fountain, another forum member.

There are quite a few additional Colnago enthusiasts here as well, so you'll feel right at home.

I'd love to see these listings here or on Velobase.

All you have to do is buy an upgraded membership, which is dirt cheap.

You pay with Paypal, so it is painless!

As for your Buckler Master, it is gorgeous.

Feel free to look through my Flickr link accessed through my signature.

There are pics of my Colnagos.

I'll also post some of my Extreme Power, although I don't think many on C&V care about a CF Colnago. :)

One of my Colnagos, an Elegant, came to me through a gentleman that bought it in Berlin.

It is a 1993 Elegant.

Have you seen these before?

Here's a pic or two. This a pic from the original sale.

Very cool.

I wish I still had my Master Extra Light here to compare your Buckler to!

Had to sell her this spring to raise funds for my son's soccer tournaments in Denmark, Sweden, and Amsterdam.

Is it Columbus Gilco?

Maybe I can get a larger pic of your Spiral Conic SLX?

What a beauty, no doubt.

Saarf,
Welcome to Bike Forums.
That's quite a collection, I take it you don't really like
colnago's do ya? (heavy sarcasm).
Being in Amsterdam I'd have thought you'd have at least one
Dutch bike from some of the Amsterdam builders like RIH or Zieleman.
oh well one can't have everything.
I noticed that your 'nagos seem to be different sized, some look
like 56cm others 61cm bikes. Do you ride all of them?
and if so, which of those is your favorite ride?
Love the Sarroni red, that is an iconic bike in my opinion.

Marty

Hi

Thanks for the compliments
I did have a RIH- I bought it as a frame, made it singlespeed and sold it in Germany-
(that paid for the slx ) )
I wish it was one that was made by the brothers in the Jordaan, instead it was hand made at a bench in the factory.
I had a 'model campagnolo' one (I think), which was too big,so I gave to a friend.
We took it into the shop in the Jordaan and the the Gentleman said his father would have made it over 30 years earlier
You have a goode eye for size, own stable bikes are between 57-58 cm

Drillium Dude 01-01-12 10:49 AM

Wow, look at that collection :twitchy:

If you find an early 70s Super, you'll have nearly the entire model lineup. A great mix of old and new.

Gomango is correct - we have lot's of Colnago enthusiasts on here

1974 Super:

1983 Mexico (just like your Sarroni Red one):

Looks as though you'll have some great pictures and stories to show and tell from the stuff in your Flickr pages!

A guy I know has a framset like it, but it's ridiculously priced!
Was the Esa Mexico a good model?
