My last bike of 2011 - A Schwinn?

As it turns out, this past year has been interesting in that I've bought and worked on tons of bikes. I converted three bikes in my collection from derailleur gears to internal gear hubs which makes them much more practical than the original product atmo. I'm still not flipping any machines at this point, just collecting.

I've also bought a couple bikes with the intention of giving them as gifts. One of them is a girl's Schwinn that I bought for my niece earlier this year which I will clean up and refurbish for her in the not too distant future. The other bike I'll be gifting is this other Schwinn that I bought for my nephew, who is just learning to ride a bicycle.

I know the front fender is backwards, it'll get fixed eventually. In any case, here it is in all its glory. A 1975 Schwinn Bantam:

One nice feature is that the top tube is removable so that it can be turned into a girls bike. It's pretty nice for a kids bike and should clean up pretty nicely atmo.
