My new 1986 Waterford Schwinn Paramount

Just got this bike from a BF member. You may remember this thread http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php/788251-What-the-heck-is-this-!. I got a fairdeal on it and was glad that the seller was honest about the great condition that this is in as it was hard to tell from the grainy photo. This will be my rider and stay pretty much as is until I am done building my '60 Paramount. The only thing I'll change for now is the saddle. I'll put my brooks B15 on it until I need it for the '60. Here are some better pics.

It's got a mix of Suntour Superbe pro and Sprint parts, as well as Cinelli Stem and Bars. There are only minor scratches in the paint, and everything works perfectly. I love it!

Nice bike, I like the white ones. I think 86 was the last year of the chrome right chainstay.

Very nice looking bicycle you have now. I'd like to see more Sun Tour Superbe components on classics. I had the Superbe brake sets on my 75 Raleigh International that I added in 1978. You have done well sir!

Thanks guys. I took it for the first decent ride today, about 10 miles. It rode amizingly. The only thing I may change is the stem. i love the cinelly, but it is a bit too long. I have a white NOS SR stem that is a bit shorter that will suffice for now. The seat post, saddle and brakehoods have got to go to.

I had the Sprint components on my Faggin and I liked them a lot. The Sprint brake calipers worked quite well.

Great looking bike overall!

Casey, the Waterford Paramounts are a wonderful ride. I know you will enjoy it as much as I like my '83.

Wow, nice, it looks like it hasn't been ridden since 1986. Those rims are awesome. How about some closeups in the daylight?
