No-name bike
On the Danish semi-equivalent to Ebay, I recently found a cheap road racer in my son's size, and as he needed a winter beater, he bought it. It was described as a "San Marco bike", and as noone has ever heard of such a bike, nobody wanted it. I however spotted the heart shaped lug cut-outs, the San Marco saddle and its nice geometry and thought "Why not? Might be good". So, son bought it for c. 110 $ (500 dkr).
It was really in better shape than I feared. Frame is straight, and all-crome under the rather ugly paint job, wheels were warped but straightened up fine with a little spoke-turning, and it's got a complete Shimano 600 groupset. Atax black handlebar, no-name black stem. Rims are Alesa, double eyelets, black. Aero brake levers, index down tube shifting, 6-speed (very silent) cassette (looks like a freewheel but must be cassette, right?). No chainstay crimping. No-name short dropouts. I haven't been able to weigh the bike, but my guess is c. 10.5-11 kg. Not a super lightweight, but decent. I think the tubing is actually straight gauge, judging from the sound of it.
Now, does anyone have any idea what make this bike might be? I doubt that the serial # will be of any help, as it's Danish, and put there by the importer (or so it seems), Aage Röll. My own uneducated guess is Centurion, or perhaps a French or Belgian make, but some of you are probably a lot more knowledgeable about these old bikes than am I. The whole bike seems to signal c. 1987 to me, FWIW.
No badges, decals or anything.

You need to add photos to help with identifying the bike.
I once bought a bike on ebay with an obscure name and bad photos that no one had heard of.
It turned out to be an Alan alu bike with full mafac and simplex gold group.
When i picked it up the guy had thought the name on the pump was the bikes make!

Nice! I had the same kind of luck a few years ago, finding an all-Campa "Banani" from c. 1984 in Sweden. Banani is a frame builder who is very famous in Denmark and almost unknown anywhere else, so the seller had no idea what he was selling. Exquisite, understated frames which ride... well, they're good! Price? c. 70$! I later sold it for 750$, and still regret it a bit...
Anyway, here are some photos of the mystery bike:

Wish I could help, but I can't sorry. Nevertheless, it looks like you scored a well built, well-spec'd lightweight for not a lot of money. Nice find!
Is that ONE of the things you want to hear?
