What Brand is This?
I recently found a mid-80's vintage Schwinn Collegiate in the trash. This was not one of the elctro-forged Chicago gas-pipe Schwinns, it was a Taiwanese import. Unfortunatley, it appears that it was left outside for years. It was also a step-through frame. For those two reasons, I made no attempt to get it back to riding condition. Instead I picked it apart. I kept the Shimano 3 speed hub, fork and a few more small items. I also kept the stem. The stem is Japanese manufacture.....seems to be well made (although heavy) but I do not recognize the brand. Anyone know what this is?
Thanks in advance for any info.

I am pretty sure the maker is JIN or JINN. I have seen quite a few of these steering stems, the most recent of which came fitted to the Nishiki International I picked up at the Dump last weekend...

Oh weird just this week as I was fantasizing about swapping out my stem on my Kuwahara , I noticed it was the brand in question and that I'd never seen it before.
