I'm not sure what it is. It is very difficult to make a determination without more pictures showing adequate detail. The bike looks like a nice cruiser atmo.

It's a huffy. From what I've heard the last Monark bikes were made by huffy, and the chainwheel and chainguard on that bike point to huffy.
If you get a close up of the fork crown and drop outs it could be confirmed. Is there a serial number on bike? (look on the head tube or drop outs)

The seat and sissybar look to be the original style Schwinn used on their Stingrays. Look underneath for the brand or for a Schwinn Approved and/or Stingray logo on the back edge, it should be there. If it is the Schwnn seat and with the original covering, you could have something worth more than you paid for the bike by a long shot. Closeups of the seat would help...
The Monark looks to be late 60's or early 70's, and it wouldn't be like in their heyday 30-40 years before this one was made. The fully dressed out balloon tire bike was breathing it's last breath about the time this one was made. Probably not much collectible value, but you have the Schwinn looking seat for a consolation prize. That will bring some okay cash for your trouble.,,,,BD

Thank you photogravity, mos6502 and bikedued...appreciate all your answers. I'll take more close-up pictures tonight. There's a sticker on the front tube looking like a crown and on the bottom it says Monark...I'll try to look for a serial number as well...regardless of what it is, its a keeper and looks unique...Thanks again!

I believe it s a Monark.
As bikedued indicated the seat and sissy bar look to be correct for early sting rays which will be worth a couple of bucks.Check under the seat to see if it is a persons seat. Troxel made a very similar looking seat, the schwinn was made by persons.

Ditto to the opinion that it is a Huffy made Monark, I had one as a kid. The only difference was the name by that point.
Yes, that seat and support should be worth a decent amount, it resembles the ones used on the earliest Sting Rays, though I am no expert.

Thank you all for the responses...sad to say, the seat is not a schwinn...no name underneath the seat. Then, I couldn't find the serial number. However, as promised, I took pictures of the leftover stickers on the frame.

Unless it's a Schwinn it's 26x1.75. Take some pics of the seat and the underside of it. I am still pretty sure it's the one that came on the Schwinns. Persons brand I believe? Has it been recovered, IE: new looking vinyl, etc?,,,,BD
