caad 2 wheels, whats the deal...buy new?
I have a caad 2 that is in quite good shape, I got it when I first started riding a few years ago, but now have some platform pedals on it just to ride around town.
When I first got the bike, me and a friend that works at a shop completely overhauled the bike (repacked the bearings, cleaned everything, etc.) The wheels are some mavic shop builts with 105 hubs, but original to when the bike was first purchased.
The rear wheel keeps coming out of true for some reason, I have had to get it retrued about 4 times in the past 2 months, but at this point am at a standstill. Should I buy a new wheelset, and if so what are some good cheap wheels that will fit an 8speed cassette. And if not, what the heck is going on with my rear wheel?

The rear probably got damaged from a pot hole or the spokes are too long and won't allow the proper tension on them. How much life if left on the breaking track? I'd either rebuild them w/ new rims/spokes or just get a new wheelset. You can get some Mavic open pros for about $150 or less.

I continue to find nice wheels used. 300+ bikes so far, not a single new wheel yet. Found two nice wheelsets in the last week. I'll probably eventually buy a few new wheels.
