Chesini Build PIcs...

OK...First (crappy) pics.

Waiting on seat post (silver Thomson) in the mail tomorrow...will be topped with plain black Fizik Aliante.

Sitting on the Calfee's wheels...Still need to build up this set, parts sitting here...black A23s, silver Sapims, silver SuperLights.

Last 3 pics show a mock-up with the gold Jagwire cabling...

Thoughts???

I'm still not a fan of the gold. Otherwise, that's pretty awesome!

campagnolo and deda 215s on a pretty frame, how could you go wrong?

i would probably use white housing but the gold works alright with that frame color.

They do look chunky there...but I think once the black saddle and tape are in place, they will look a little more balanced.

Here's the thing...The De Rosa is dark blue with white cabling, and I think I just want something a little different. The gold pantos are my excuse!

I think I'll just cable it up tomorrow and if it looks like crap I'll redo it (waiting on white campy cable set from Ribble)...

BTW...Hard to tell with the phone pics...but...the paint match went pretty well on the CF fork...not perfect, but real close.

Ended up using Land Rover Bali Blue Effect...

i dont blame you. if the cable looks good i would consider gold nipples and skewers for the new wheels

I don't like using aluminum nipples...but...I was thinking of looking at the LBS today and seeing if they had a couple spare gold nipples...maybe one on each wheel for an accent. Gold skewers are a good idea!

doing gold skewers and cable housing only would probably add just enough to make it work without making it difficult to change down the road.

a gold chain would probably look nice as well but if im not mistaken that looks like chorus. if so, i would stick to a campy chain.

Yeah Chorus with a Chorus chain...although a KMC X11SL in gold would look nice...don't feel like spending another $70 though.

Just a touch of "Bling" makes it POP, too much makes it look like a Mardi Gras float!
