COLNAGO - Help identifying late 80's frameset.
Hello everyone, I am trying to help a friend identify a Colnago he recently bought. Any help would be greatly appreciated. He would like to know the model, year, and what value it could possible have.
The frame appears to be 50.5 ctc st and 53 ctc tt. Head tube lugs and fork crown have the clover cutouts, and head lugs also have some comma shaped cutouts above and below on the sides. Head lugs, fork, and right stay are chromed. It has a front derailleur hanger. There's no sign of a serial number in any of the usual places, and there are no cutouts anywhere else.
There's nothing where the model would usually go, and the decals are under the clear coat. It has a Columbus SL decal, which also reads Colnago at the bottom. Front and rear dropouts are stamped Colnago. Rear spacing is 130. It has the clover painted on the back of the seat tube...
Here are the pictures:

Probably a Super. The chromed lugs made it a Superissimo.
Nice bike.

Thanks! I thought it might be a Super. Anyone have any idea what year it might be?

You'll need a better Colnago expert than me. It seems a lot of Italian bikes were very sketchy about what year they were made. I've got an 1984-ish Pinarello and a 1990-1991-ish Colnago Master and I think I'm doing well to get within a year or two. I think in the mid-80's they went to having two decals on the seat tube so yours is at least 1985. I think the fork puts in 1987-1990 or so. Not sure when they started using the plastic cable guide on the bottom bracket but that's another clue.
