Looking for some info on this Bianchi Eros

Got this from a yard sale for $20 and an old camera last year, have ridden it quite a bit and love it but I dont know what year it is or anything about it besides that it was bought new and barely used. I have google'd it many times and have not been able to pull up much identifying info, maybe you all might have some ideas.

If you cant tell from the horrible pics (my phone cam sucks sorry), its white/green, a color scheme I haven't been able to find in Google.

Also, I can just barely read the serial number on the bottom, how can I use this to find more info about it?

Oh also I was thinking about getting new wheels for this thing, since they have given me many problems since I've had it... such as spoke-nipples breaking, spurs in the rims puncturing the tubes.. mainly the spoke nipples breaking though, I am especially worried about more breaking in the future. Also the tires are a weird woven fiberglass-looking material with a rubber outer coating, very strange looking and a pain to deal with when messing with the tubes. They are labeled as Specialized, though. Is it worth getting new wheels to possible future problems, and about how much does that usually run?

20 bucks is a great deal, did you relube all the bearings and do an overhaul, the grease may have dried a bit, it doesn't hurt to do it to keep it running smooth

I havent done anything like that to it. Its been a year since I bought it so some of the dirt and wear is from me. Its been to the shop a couple times for tune ups, repairs, and such. I actually do not know much about bikes, this is my first 'real' bike so I dont know much about the maintenance I need to be doing. I spray the chain with Tri-Flow whenever it gets rained on or I otherwise remember to, and pump up the tires before I ride all the time, thats about it.

Funny story; no one told me that you are supposed to unscrew the little valve to inflate the tires, I just thought that high-pressure tires were a pain in the @$$ to inflate and required an air-compressor. Went to the bike shop to buy a new hybrid for school since this one was giving me so much trouble, felt like a complete idiot when I saw them inflate the tires with a floor pump. XD

Hello Arcad, welcome to the forums. I believe you have an '94 Eros, but at some point someone upgrade the shifters to those brifters. That was a nice frame but the SuperLugg idea did not last long on the road bikes.

The wheels are susposed to be RX100 hubs w/ Mavic 192 rims and of course stainless spokes. If you having trouble with the spokes and or nipples breaking, I would just get an estimate of rebuilding or replacing the wheels. the oem drivetrain was 7spd is what it still has?

The pic is not that good but the tires look OK to me, are they Armadillo tires?

if i were you, buy tools and learn to take apart the bottom brackets and the wheel hubs to grease them. it's much cheaper in the long run, plus you'll learn some new skills. videos are all over youtube or you can ask people on this forum. Most are pretty friendly, a couple bite here and there, just beat them off with a stick if they do..

you should also take the stem and seat post out and regrease it every little while if you're riding it in the rain or so, you don't want it to rust and get stuck. Seized seat posts or stems suck balls...

About to ride it back home I will check the bike more and post back either tonight or tomorrow

Thanks will look into that.
Also what are essential tools to have? I already need a set of Allen keys (standard or metric?), and have been using my leatherman or a spoon for most repairs & adjusting
