Wow. "Drah di net um" is perfect Austrian, from the Homeland of Mr.Apfelstrudel Arnold Schwartzenegger. I'm impressed.
Back to topic: here you'll find an story about our monthly ride from yesterday. Some older statesman from the US was riding with us, but he lost his derallieur after 20km, so he had to call his wife for a lift back home. Now we are preparing for our classic event at the "Deutsche Rennradbörse" in Rommerskirchen in less than two weeks. More to follow....
A good start into the week to all of you...

Funny thing though, I didn't have a bike when I lived in Germany and I don't recall seeing anybody riding a bike either. Maybe I wasn't paying attention. There was some city in Germany that I visited where I saw a lot of bicycles, can't recall for sure now which it was...Heidelburg maybe? Sure as heck wasn't Fulda. I probably missed a great opportunity there though.

There are lot's of nice spots to ride in Germany. To be honest I have no idea if Heidelberg is a bicycle-city, more famous are Münster and Freiburg, but also here in the Rhine Area around Düsseldorf & Cologne you'll see lots of cyclists. Riding an old roadbike is getting hip. ;-)

As I promised here some pictures and a story from our last weeks ride round Rommerskirchen. I'm sure Google Translater will offer you some very funny adult creations. And if it comes down to rule #43: we're funny jackasses. ;-)

For those who find L'eroica just too big, there is always La Mitica:

https://www.lamitica.it/home.php
Then there is the wonderfully-named Etrusca Ciclostorica:

Two more reasons to visit Italia right there, not that we needed any more!

Once in a year we ride the gravel roads round funky Rommerskirchen, right between Düsseldorf and Cologne. So if anybody from here is nearby at the 7th of June, come around & join us. As usual more information here: www.klassikerausfahrt.de
