This poor Peugeot...

This was a project bike for me. I wanted to try out my powder coating set up. It hasn't really been ridden since I built it. It's not my size and I would just like to recoup some of the costs. The colored parts are powder coated, so the finish is ultra durable. The frame color is fairly rare; this one is from Austria. You want a flashy ride? Here you go!
-Custom hand-built wheels
-Single speed
-New cables and housing
-Fizik Saddle

Looks like Picasso hurled all over it.

Ha! I like it...I wouldn't ride it (or buy it), but it's cool to see a powdercoating test bike. Besides, it's only components that got powdered.

what's wrong with it?
this is the kind of bike you want to ride at dusk on st paddy's day or july fourth, when half the drivers on the road are drunk, and a little attention called your way is a needed. it also might be appropriate for a critical mass ride or just that casual sunday after dropping a bit of acid. a richard simmons wig would not be out of the question as acceptable gear. but what were you thinking when mounting that awful seat post? i guess after a while, the devoted just gives up.?.
so ... how much for the brake hoods?

I've got some of this style colored tires in red- got em mostly because they were cheap, but figured they'd look good-
which they do- except they should either make the whole tire colored, or the sidewalls and NOT the tread, cause that gets dirty.
Back in the day the adage was that you should never ride colored sew-ups in the rain (they were usually orange then, and God knows why- not for appearance) Clement 220,s and 250's were pretty common. I found it out first the hard way in a rainy criterium in Miamisburg OH with some orange Wolber sew-ups in the rain, about 1974- I was fishtailing through the corners when a deluge started just after the start. They called the race in just a few laps-
Someone told me the orange tire thing after- slippery when wet!.
I think it was a "C" race or no one else showed up- I still finished second, but it was my only real chance of ever besting Alan Kingsbury before he started getting very very good....
anybody hear anything like that about these colored clinchers?
