A little help, please

How does one read the "Posts By Member"? I am trying to find out if fusasia is still active, much less interested in the BOC game, and it appears to me his last post was April 30, 2012. His activity goes all the way back to 2008, so am I reading the post count incorrectly? He requested to be added to the BOC game on April 25 - I can't really believe that a member would stop BF alltogether only five days later after over four years on the Forum, but stranger things have happened.

He's the next intenteded recipient of the Box, but so far smontanaro has no contact address.

Just in case we need to move on, jeirvine - please check into the net, because you're next

Looks like both Smontanaro and fusatia or whatever have both been active recently to me.... just not in this thread.

Thank you - last activity - post-wise - from fusasia seems to have been April 30th, so in the interests of keeping the box moving, you may be bumped up if we don't hear anything in the next few days.

And, if that is indeed the case, I will PM you with my mailing address, as I just happen to be up next after you

No question smontanaro has been active, but it seems from a review of fusasia's posts that his last post to any thread was back on 30 April - only a few days after he signed on for the BOC. Strange...

The good news is that if fusatia has been active recently, there's a good chance he will either get an email regarding the PM I sent him, or the next time he visits bikeforums.net he will be notified about it...

I am confident everything will work out in the end.

DD, now get back to work on that Masi Special! (I'm just a little bit jealous...)

I guess I'm just a little excited, too, to be honest - I thought it would be months before the BOC made it around to me and here it is just around the corner!

Just in time for me to dump some stuff in, too (a lot of the spares from the Masi pick-up will be going in the box)

I don't remember ever posting an "action" shot of what I kept from the box. Here it is. . . the seat wedge:

Yeah yeah yeah, I've since shortened the chain. . shyaddup.

Thanks.

I started to, but. . . things went awry and then, well, I figured it wasn't interesting enough-- competing with all the Ciocc, Masi, Tomassini. Conlago, the one Fuji Opus. . . ect.

I posted a couple things in the STI or Ergos thread (even though it's DoubleTap).

I do have designs on obtaining an RB-1 or -2 and /or Ironman (my first "real" bike was a Sport DLX),

The Eagle Has Landed ...

The BOC arrived a day earlier than GordoTrek predicted. I haven't had time to do much besides weigh it and toss it on my workbench. It tipped the scales at a svelte 23 pounds.

I'll try to move it along tomorrow or Wednesday, with obligatory pictures to follow.

Stuff that, that bike looks bad-ass: its-own-thread-worthy bad-ass! Seriously, that all-black will have fans, dude. I love it (I really do have to find myself a black frame someday...)

Isn't that amazing? That's more than a lot of bikes on this Forum, and we're shipping it at $15.85 across the country.

I love it!

Looking forward to your pics - and thanks for the update

As it arrived:

Stuff I took:

As it will go out:

It weighed 23lbs on the way in, and weighs 25lbs now. (This is with an old bathroom scale in our basement. YMMV.)

Explanation for the stuff I took:
  • pedals and toe clips - I'm in the midst of switching away from Looks, back to toe clips and straps. I can use some beaters for commuter bike(s).
  • stem - I hope to do this:
with my Xtracycle. Looks like the stem might clamp to my seatpost with a smallish shim.
  • sigma display and sensor - The display on my Sigma 800 went flying on a bumpy road a couple years ago. Hopefully this will work with my existing mount. We shall see.
  • water bottle cage - You can never have too many cages, right? (I always want a cage for a bike which doesn't have one or want a second cage for long rides.)

I plan to ride to work tomorrow, so unless I take the Xtracycle I might not get this in the mail to fusatia until late tomorrow or early Thursday. (Had a little family emergency this afternoon which necessitated my night owl grandson - the target of said Xtracycle plans - sleeping over.)

By way of teasing, I will make a couple observations about the box:
  • Somebody must have been getting rid of their "Schwinn Approved" collection.
  • There's a lot of SunTour derailleur stuff in there - enough that perhaps someone could maybe put together that Accushift system they always dreamed of.
  • There must be a lot of one-legged pedalers out there, given all the left-side crank arms in the box.

Nice scores, Skip - and the box looks a lot less full o' crap these days, too! I bet that shiny stem and that seatpost don't last very long in that box

I've got some decent stuff this go-around, too. Ready to unload it once that box makes it to my doorstep. Thanks for the nice pictures and details. BTW, non-drive crankarms make great tools - or weapons, depending on one's disposition

Aw, no pressure: going by the rules, you've still got three working days to ship

Lot of stems in the box now....must be harvest time.
I took the last blue water cage out but it seems to have regenerated and those pedals are my favorite for commuting.

BOC is on its way to fusatia as of about 5:30pm Central Time. Also, there was no map in the box as far as I could tell.

I think the woman behind the counter at the P.O. thought I was a bit loony. (I explained the game to her.)
