It's a fork mount for a Yakima rack. You clamp the mount onto the crossbar (on your roof) and then you clamp the fork blades into the mount. The back tire rests on the other crossbar in one of the little tray thingie's.

Mounts to a roof rack (or something similar) to secure the fork.
Edit. Iowegian beat me to it while I was searching for a picture...

You got it today?! Sweet! Hope there is something in there to your liking. I'll bet that box looks like a bunch of people crammed in a van. It was looking decrepit when I sent it off.

Thanks for the pics and the update. In the interests of keeping the box moving, I'm letting you make the call on PJCB and the substitution of GordoTrek.

Keep 'er rollin'

Sorry to take my full allotted five days...but the BOC is packed and heading for the PO. I'll get pictures of my take shortly. I never did hear from PJCB so it's on the way to GordoTrek.

Here's my take.

The gloves actually fit my wife so what could I say? And the rack pieces aren't worth much without the fork clamps so I grabbed them to make room. If anyone needs one you know where they are

The box left at 22lbs 13oz. That's a lot of crap! Enough that I got a pinch flat on the way the PO. I think I had almost 40lbs in my bags and my cushy-cushy tires just couldn't handle it.

You guys, I have enjoyed reading through this thread. Such a cool concept.

I wish I could in good faith request to get on the BOC list myself, but although I covet much of the "crap" you guys are getting, I know the only crap I could put back in the box is take-offs from CL curb-alert Magna mountain bikes. Way too crappy.

Right now I'm on the list, but I'll be moving in a month or so, so depending on where we are in the list then, I may have to take myself off. We'll see. Hoping I get to stay on (and my crap is already packed in easily accessible tubs, so if timing works and I've already moved, it'll go with me, and if not, I know where it is).

Way over the top of crap. But if it never rode well for you, then that is what it would be.

I'm in the same boat. I always see stuff I'd like in the pictures, but I wouldn't feel right being on the list until I acquire better crap to put back in the box.

Thanks for the pics, GT! In the interests of updating page one/post one, did you send the BOC out today?

I also think the saddle is fantastic; I bet someone woulda paid good money for that beauty. What lucky project bike it that going on?
