It is an honor not bestowed upon just anyone, of course (gotta have those 50 posts, don't you know)

Had to do a little re-shuffling; nomad, you're now on deck and smontanaro needs your mailing addy to move the Box along.

BOC is on its way to thenomad. Here's what it looked like after I removed the t-shirts that covered everything.

Here's what I took.

Knock on the door today and I get this box. Sweet box-o-crap time.
Well this thing is packed full of... well... crap.

Got some crap from the box shown, put some other crap in!

To be honest, I picked through it and removed about 8 other items that seemed to be DOA and missing parts or broken ONLY because there was NO MORE ROOM for me to put any of my crap in.

BTW, the odometer with 666 was a nice touch! That shirt, I couldn't resist since I teach Earth Science - "Veloci(pede)raptor"

Note that its still packed full of crap... to the brim! Should go out Monday but may be Tues since I need to get a box first

One last minute dive into the box today procured an old alloy crank I just used to replace a cottered one on a friend's cruiser. I built it for a lady at church who wanted to try riding and darn if she isn't riding the wheels off of it! She gave me the bike today and I converted it to 5 speeds with a single stem shift so she can ride even more places. Just gave it back and she's super happy again.

Thanks all! I forgot to take pics of the bike after modification but here it is in SS mode.

Actually, if you go back to page 1 and read the rules to the Box 'o Crap game, you'll see that taking stuff for other peoples' bikes is a no-no.

Don't worry, I'm not gonna squeal on ya.

Also, that dinosaur shirt you snagged is pretty awesome.

While I understand the point of the rule I think it needs to be amended.

^ Ah, the original rule was to ensure nobody took anything out to make a profit off or to pass to someone else with which to do the same. So helping out someone by putting it onto a bike, well....I think we can allow that.

Now, it has been brought to my attention that recent boxes have contained some really, really bad CRAP. I've been told there's been overly rusted parts, parts missing important parts, etc. Let's not take CRAP too literally, okay? This was always supposed to be about sharing, not about profitting from the generosity of others and then tossing into the box the stuff you'd normally put into the garbage in return for getting some pretty good stuff.

The early days of The Box, everybody got that; let's get back to passing something along that will be beneficial. Pack that box like you'd want to receive it

When I pack it up today it'll have some 'good crap' in it.
Think George Carlan: Your stuff is crap and my crap is stuff.

To be sure there's no profit in that cruiser, just a lot of love.

The box is on the move!
Had to take a few more peices of "crap" out to make room. I think everyone will be able to purge a little and put a few more gems in.

Go ahead and re-cue me please. That was pretty fun and i still have a few items that could have made it in.

I suspect the cranks in question were the ones I sunk into the bottom, I fully approve of them being used anywhere as I could not even see using it as a backup and it was a decent crankset...

7/8timing, hughes208 and 16Victor: you've all been added to the queue. Thanks to everyone for the recent pics of the crap - well done!

** For all new members to the list, please ensure you read the rules of the road in Post #1 . There are rules **

I figure the possibility (probability?) exists that all new members have not gone through all 64 pages, thus might have missed out on some of the drama surrounding one or two other members who effed up our game for a time. Please don't be one of those guys

Thanks!
