I don't have the address of the person you're to send it to. If you would refer to the rules in Page 1/Post 1 you will see what it is you need to do in order to send it along to the next recipient.

Any other newbies: please review the very first post before requesting to be added. It's a pretty simple process.

@mtnbke: come on, now, you've had the box for two weeks. Please have the common courtesy to give us all an update. After that, make the effort to do your part and drop the box in the mail.

Oh, and I'm publicly contacting you because I've already PMd you with no response.

Oh the positive side, perhaps we've heard the last of @mtnbke at this site.

I'm volunteering to get the next box going. I've got a lot of crap to get rid of...give me this 4 day weekend to round it all up, if it's ok with you, drillmaster!

Since I sent the box to him, I'll follow up with a snail mail letter to his home address appealing to to his sense of fair play. Sure, he seems a little out there in his online personality, but I don't get the sense that he'd intentionally torpedo a friendly and amusing collaborative effort like this.

Yet, after posting about his personal drama, he was able to post the following 3 posts (excerpts):

"Everything in the steel conversation is about vanity..."

"BS, that forum member was being a whiny little ***** who wanted his hand held throughout his repair/restoration including "proof" that CA was doing what he requested." (later shown to be a false accusation)

"Idiotic. You can't begin to compare the craftsmanship, skill or finish of 70s or early 80s Japanese frame building or kit to anything."

I've been on the opposite end of this joker's flames, tried to be reasonable, I gave up.

You could end this game with a kris kringle style exchange. That way true players would get their chance at some krap.

If the box is gone this time, I'm bailing. I've done my service to the community and now it's time to retire and pass the torch

Sorry, but no such sympathy from me - not after contacting by PM and asking about the status with no answer while the guy still posts in other threads. Uh-uh. That's not kosher.

I tried via PM - it's apparent he has no sense of fair play when it comes to the BOC at any rate.

C'est la vie and good riddance. I'm with gugie: maybe this means he's gone from the Forum as a result? I mostly kept my tongue, but with this sad performance on top of all his other rants/raves, well, it seems he needs to take a refresher course or two on how to be a human being.

Rant over. Carry on

I'm not familiar with this - could you elaborate?

Once we have a "how to", I'd like feedback from those remaining on the list. Then I'd seriously like to be allowed to bow out quietly with a smile.

Well, it's an anonymous(or not) exchange of crap, that happens all at once, Christmas style. Random drawing for who you send the box to, but it's a one way deal.

Thanks for your efforts, DD. Hoping you have a nice winter hat since you've probably pulled all your hair out by now.

Re: anonymous one-way exchange of crap: I wouldn't be interested in that, as the likelihood of a single piece of random crap being useful to the recipient is rather small.
