+1 I think this should be a game for those actively involved in the community here on the forums. I think some of the folks who joined the game previously were more opportunists than active forum participants or lost interest in bicycling or C&V bikes. I have noted in the Classic and Vintage Sales forum, there are frequently people who just arrived on the forums and only have a post or two who are trying to buy stuff. Simply put, this isn't Craigslist. Just my two cents on the matter.

But then again, this is supposed to be a box of crap. If some of the hoarders here gave up the ghost and decided to get rid of everything, they'd need 10-15 dumpster-sized boxes just to get started...

Good point. It could be advantageous to forum members and those in the game, but I still think active participants should be the target audience, not some newb who wants free parts and then falls off the face of the earth after absconding with a box of parts.

I don't know if the box had already been reused or not but I decided to give the crap a new home, that box looked like my postman had drop kicked it. I took some brake levers and a shifter, and some little random clips. Threw in a Cannondale seatbag, some brakes, a lever, some chainrings and other garbage. I'll try to get it shipped out tomorrow.

By the time the box got to me it was looking pretty used, I used half a roll of tape just to make sure it would get to Drummerboy without dumping half of the crap out. I could have put it all in a new flat rate box but I thought we were trying to see how long the original box would last.
