I have two bikes with kickstands. They are the ones I use for toting my camera, and makes it easy to hop off the bike and get the camera out quickly. Also handy on pub crawls where all the good leaning spots are gone if you aren't among the first to roll in. Wouldn't put one on my road bikes, but kickstands have their place. I did try that one in the BOC when it was in my hands and it was too short.

To be honest, I have no idea what size I'd need. I have this frame (and matching fork) with 700c wheels I just chatted with em' and it maybe to tall for a kickstand.

edit: oops for get link https://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...39_-1___202337

I can't believe it took me so long to notice you're in Napa! Did you go to the bikefest?

I skipped it this year as I had to conduct business in Petaluma instead, I'm from a smidgen north of the Santa Rosa area but I visit a bike buddy of mine in Sonoma fairly frequently. How was it this year? I remember last year spending most of the day being cooked by the parking lot.

It wasn't to bad this year actually, there was a nice breeze off the river keeping the area cool and it was slightly overcast most of that day. Napa got maybe into the 70's last Saturday

I totally think the 285 would work on that frame, it has a standard height geometry BB shell.

The BOC arrived during a pretty busy weekend, didn't get to really look through it right away. But last night I finally dug through, and there is a lot of cool stuff in there. Box of crap is a bit of a misnomer.

First look is not very revealing:

But looking inside I found these:

And now the BOC is on it's way to Road2you:
