FedEx Gave My Allez Frame The Boot!
I got home to a FedEx package next to my front door, not unusual for me and I was expecting the Allez frame from fas2c. The first thing I notice as I walked up to the door was the large "FRAGILE" stickers, nice touch. The next thing I notice was the 13½ inch boot print. I unpacked the frame quickly to inspect for damage, I am happy to report there was no damage that I can find. I know it's hard to tell but it sure appears the boot print is over the sticker.
fas2c did an awesome job packing, a beautiful frame and he gets a lot of credit for the safe arrival of the frame.

The King of Queens strikes again!!
Was that a reused box? Perhaps the sticker was OEM from the bike plant and the footprint is from a shop mechanic. Either way glad your frame is in one piece.

Looks about like the fragile stuff I get too...had one with a dual tire track across the corner of a box that contained a $12,000 piece of equipment. Well insured I promise, you would think FedUp would learn...

I had rather the opposite experience. Before shipping my bike back from FL, I printed out a couple of Do Not Lay Flat and This Side Up notices and placed them on the box. The box arrives from FL festooned with multiple Fragile, This Side Up, Do Not Lay Flat stickers courtesy of FedEx.

Any more, I am using the US Postal Service for shipping. I gave up on UPS long ago. I've had mixed results with Fed Ex, and some of their back charges are really bad.

Wow! I can surely state that that footprint was applied after I sent it off I shouldn't be laughing though... it could have been ugly! I'm happy you like the frame and it arrived safe. As I stated it is a great bike, just way too big for me! Enjoy it!
