Hey Drillium Dude!

I have this old 40's bike that im about to strip out and i noticed the detail in the hub, and thought this might be inspiration for drillium dude![IMG][/IMG]

Is it just me, or do I see the hub flange actually bending between the spokes too.
Never seen slotted hub flanges like that before, but it must be strong enough to last this long without breaking. I wonder if the hub shell/flanges is made out of steel.

hey this bike most likely has NEVER seen a paved street, "its prewar" plus the rims have holes in them, the hubs I will save but sadly the bike will be returning to de dumpe where it came from after i pull off a few savory morsels like the sturmey archer 3 speed drum hub and this drum front hub.

Oh ok, I saw that but that's not terribly uncommon. Also, I'm pretty sure no one in their right mind would "connect the dots" on a hub, no pun intended.
