Once they got into the 80's I don't recall Bottecchias having a low end model. Ottavio wouldn't have of it. Looks like mixture of later SR cranks, Triomphe RD, Athena calipes, Record shift levers and I'm not sure on the brake levers(probably another different group). The frame looks amazing but it looks thrown together.

I can't claim to be an expert in Bottecchia bicycles, even though I have owned several, but all were from the seventies. The one presented looks to be close to top of the line and from the late eighties, or early nineties. When I am trying to figure out where such and such fits into the such and such line up, I try Googling Such and Such Catalogs. When I did this for Bottecchia, this page came up, which lead to this page.

Not sure if this is much help, however, adding the word "catalog" your search often times produces more results.

Try brochure also as that helps out looking for literature.

Nice Bottechia frame on that bike!
Back in the 80's I remember looking at Bottechia framesets being sold at a bike shop in Milwaukee, but IIRC, the graphics were a bit different with block instead of script letters and the paintjob was mostly white with what looked like flat black graphics. That leads me to think that the Bottechia in the pic is a higher spec model with its script graphics. The one's I saw for sale in the 80's did not impress me so much as they came off as lower level bikes than the typical Colnago or Ciocc of that everyone seems to have been drooling over at the LBSs. It didn't help too that the graphics were falling off the Bottechia frames just hanging from the dealership racks, but this one in contrast, looks to be higher quality.

That is definitely a late 80s model paint job, but I can't tell which tubing set it is. The high end ones were Columbus SLX or TSX and called the Professional or Equipe. However they had a lower end model with a generic Columbus tubing set that often showed up in that color scheme with the blue graphics - in fact I owned one in that color and used it as a commuter and backup race bike before giving it to a college student. If it isn't SL, SLX tubing I think the price is a bit high.
