Finished it up this evening, going for the first long ride tomorrow and I cannot wait!

Can't figure out how to share a decent sized file here.

Very NICE! Is the Jag in the background from 74 also?
My all Campy International is from 1974 as well, a great ride.

Oh!, it is the [IMG link], thanks!
I really just cleaned it, no polishing yet. Funny thing about the paint, when I first glanced at it in the store I thought the paint was all scratched up and ruined. When I got it home, I found that it was mostly left over adhesive from stickers - maybe somebody tried to make a "stealth bike"? And the rust came off easily with a little "Never Dull" but then as I got into it I noticed most of the "rust" came off by scratching my thumbnail over it. Odd, I am no CSI, but I think it was blood? Anyway, a few scratches and rust stains are still on the paint from the original pump and water bottle clamps, not much I can do about that without paint, but the chrome and aluminum can certainly be buffed up to a better shine. I won't sleep tonight thinking of putting some serious miles on this tomorrow, the short rolls around the neighborhood are already memorable.

The Jag is 1969 XJ6 with a 383 SBC @ 325~hp; it too is getting restored. Working on the interior now, the entire suspension and drivetrain I have already done.

I sold one of those to a forums member, had a bent top and bottom tube but the buyer insisted it didn't. Wonder what ever became of it? Really nice bike BTW! Great job!

I like the honey leather instead of the usual black. Get the cables behind the bars and it will be perfect. It's the bike I really wanted when I settled for a PX10.

^I believe the previous owner of my International paid about $600 in 1975 so I think the Pro would be north of that.

Sweet bike Kurt, wish I had the patience to sew that kind of handlebar wrap on mine. Looks like you ran into the same pedal conundrum that I did!
*And yes, the Jag has a GM crate motor built by Jegs, PM me if you are still curious.

In 1974 a pro in Southern California was below $500.
Granted, there was a local Raleigh warehouse, so shipping can play a role in the retail price. I think Raleigh had an East Coast warehouse too. Not sure about the midwest.
Handsome bike, superleggera seat post. The XJ will be a handsome car when done.... I have to get used to those wheels though.

NICE Pro!! Still one of my top two dream bikes, is that exact model and color.
I used to have a 75 Mercedes 240D with you guessed it, Campagnolo rims. They had the script and the whole deal. They weighed like 8 pounds a piece, and that 240 cornered like it was on rails with a set of low profile Dunlops on it! Really hated to see it go, but it got totalled and I had no access to a set of replacement rims. I also couldn't see myself in another Mercedes of the same vintage, after enduring the repair bills for a year or two.,,,,BD

Tuc, you're reminding me sorely of an XJS I could have picked up on Craigslist last month for $1,000. Between the cost of a used 350 and the GM conversion kit, I could have had that car running for under less than $3,000.
I'd still be kicking myself if I wasn't biased against GM. Ford guy here. Shoot me.

Luckily, it came with the Cinelli VIP bar set already on it - I was just lucky in finding a Brooks Pro to match.

I always wanted an XJ6 with a V8 conversion. The best of both worlds, but they still have Lucas electrical stuff.
I used to have a 70 Rover 3500S so I am quite familiar with Lucas.

The brochure a friend of mine has from 1974 has $485 written in the margin next to the pic of the Pro. Which would be approximately 2,250 in today's dollars.
