Save you pennies and get in line...via the Italian Cycling Journal:
To celebrate it's 80th anniversary next year...the company will be issuing an 80th anniversay gruppo...available in the Super Record level, mechanical version. There will be 2,013 gruppi availabe plus 2,013 pairs of anniversary wheels.

It said mechanical SR, so I'd guess CF. if they release a SR alloy commemorative group, I'll be sorely tempted!

Be interesting to see what they come up with, they did not do much for the 75th.
In modern times, the 80th is associated with pearls and diamonds.
Hopefully they won't go tacky.

If it was alloy, it would be the lightest alloy ever possible most likely. My guess is CF as well, but I am glad that it is mechanical. I'll guess 4k for the price.

I guess it will come in a CF display box this time......

50th doesn't do much for me and this does less. I'd rather spend cash on the Campagnolo cork screw and belt buckles.

I think a gray or silver emblem would have looked better, but I don't mind the design. Color wise, I think it looks better than the 50th gold on silver.
