Identify german frame
Okay,
So last year I found an old bike in my gradmother's backyard.
I broght it out, cleaned it off, stripped it (fenders, rims, seats and almost everything else had to go). I wasn't able to identify what make it was until recently, when I found out it was some german make, MOVE.
I have 2 questions:
1. Can anyone give me more details on this frame? (year, maybe some pictures or drawings)
2. Is this frame usavle? (photos wull be attached

(sorry for posting links, didn't have time for HTML tags)

Wow, that must have been a very nice bike before it was thrown out along time ago. Too bad some of it had corroded away for good. You might want to show it to a frame builder to see if it can still be restored and if the brand has significant history. It might be too far gone looking, but its still good to find out. You can always hang it as really nice vintage cycling "wall art" in your house if it can't be restored anymore.
I wonder what stories that old bike could have said if it can talk.....

this is as you know a waffenrad, wartime bike, sure you could sandblast it, and paint it and you would have a old frame with a paintjob.I do not know how complete your bike is, but every part you buy will make your investement go up higher, in the end you will have a lot of money with poor resale value.
check for yourself- ebay.de, waffenrad
I am sorry to say that you can find complete bicycles of this type for very little money,
I have one simmilar that wasin better condition but the rims were rusted and a few pieces were missing,
I took out the hubs and the frame awaits going to the dump, my bike was not worth saving.
best of luck

I'm sorry for not mentioning a "minor" detail: I live in Romania
Thus, a framebuilder is very, very hard to find, as are knowledgeable people.
As far as price, I never intended to restore and sell it. Rather just build it into a nice, period-correct bike to ride around town in.
Thanks for the details!
P.S. - I checked ebay.de and IDK what "very little money" means in Finland, but here 7-800 euros is a bit more than a month's pay for most people.

IOf you can determine that the tubes are not way too rusty to trust rding on, then there could be hope to saving the bike to ridable condition, but you will still need to have a bit of mechanical and welding skills to do so as

No, it won't be impossible to bring this bike back to life, but it will be a lot of work and commitment in your part physically, financially and yes, mentally as it can get very frustrating if you get stuck somewhere in the restoration process and the solutions does not seem to come.....but if you are up to the challenge, it will certainly be very very rewarding once you finish the restoration.
Good luck if you decide to take the challenge.....but don't throw away the frame if you don't as I think the frame can be hung up as nice antique cycling wall art or at the least you can save the head badge as it can be very much apprciated by bicycle headbage collectors.

comment- asking price in german ebay is not actual selling prices! check the ended austions area.
and the big money bikes are 100% original and good condition- and not restored.
there is a very limited market place for waffenrad's.
the correct seach word for this bike is
"möve fahrrad" or "möve waffen rad"
plenty of pictures available
